Two Coaches Leaving Seward

KSCB News - May 6, 2011 9:21 am

Two Seward assistant coaches are leaving the school. Men’s basketball assistant Jay Cyriac has already left Liberal to be an assistant for Steve Eck at Hutchinson Community College. This ends a one year stint for Cyriac at Seward. The New Jersey native and former CSI assistant spent one year in Liberal and helped recruit a team which was 27-7 and won the Jayhawk West under fourth year head coach Bryan Zollinger.

Seward graduate Allison Owens also leaves Seward after one season. She is not persuing another coaching position. The Saints were 23-18 this season and finished as the runner up in Region 6. Owens played for two seasons for Seward County in 2004-2005 before graduating from SCCC with her Associates of Science.
