Tuesday’s Middle School Results

Eisenhower Middle School participated in their second meet of the season
Tuesday night and ran their hearts out. After finishing in 3rd place at
their first meet in Great Bend the 7th grade girls came out and dominated
the meet at Arkalon. Medalist were Joceline Hernandez 10th, Cate Alling
7th, Jacqueline Hernandez 6th, Helena Combs 5th, and Ashley Carillo
finished 2nd. Their team score was 30.

The 7th grade boys finished the Great Bend meet in 2nd place by just 3
points and came out to make a statement at Arkalon. They also we meet
champions finishing with a team score of 39. Medalist include: Phillip Harp
10th, Coby Tran 9th, Erick Baca 6th and Logan Miller was 3rd.

The eight grade girls came off a disappointing 3rd place finish in Great
Bend where they scored over 80 points as a team. With the full team of
girls at Arkalon they ran hard and redeemed themselves, scoring just 39
points and finished in 1st place. Medalist include: Braegan Zimmerman 5th,
Esmerelda Gutierrez 4th, and Bryanna Banuelos finished 3rd.

The eighth grade boys also improved the point scoring in this meet. They
scored over 80 points in Great Bend but at Arkalon scored 64 points. We had
one lone medalist Omar Calderon finished in 4th place and the team finished
in 3rd.

The XC team will next travel to Hays on the 13th.

Volleyball

7A won against Horace Good and Kenneth Henderson. The Lady Warriors took
both games in two sets.

Warriors versus Horace Good. 25-12, 25-17.

Warriors versus Kenneth Henderson. 25-11, 25-15.

Kaitlyn Stoney served 8 in a row versus KH to help with the win. Melanya
Thomas and Bree “Stone Cold” Hornya both were trying spot serving and doing
it successfully with tons of aces. All girls stepped up and played their
role. Maizi Morris, Amya Blake, and Maggie McIntyre played some tough back
row and passed really well. Elizabeth Dinh has stepped up big playing as
our setter and literally got a touch on every ball that was hers. Caitlin
Carlile played both sides of the ball well with numerous kills. Jenice
Perez, Leilani Torres, and Emma Evans all played outside hitters with some
nice swings.

7A improve their record to 5-1.

7B won against KH. 25-11, 25-16.

Top players in that bout Jazmine Hoffman served 9 in a row. Arely Tarango
had her 1st spike of the season.

7B won against HG. 25-23, 25-19. B team was down 8 points and had a come
behind victory to win the first set.
Top players was Leslie Galindo who served 9 in a row. Arely and Ashley
Munoz played the net tough with some good rally points to finish the game.

7B improve their record 6-0.

South 8th Grade

Lost to Horace Good 15-21, 10-12 and lost to Kenneth Hendrson 12-21, 19-21.  South is 4-2 and

hosts tournament Saturday.

win against Kenneth Henderson.
