Tree Care Workshop to be Held November 4th in Liberal

A Tree Care Workshop will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday, November 4, 2019 at the Ag Building on the Seward County Fairgrounds, 1501 W. 8th St., Liberal.
Topics of discussion will include site selection and care of newly planted trees, basic pruning techniques, tree selection for southwest Kansas, dealing with high pH soils and applying soil amendments.
Presenters will be John Klempa, District Forester with the Kansas Forest Service and Ron Honig, KSU Extension Agent with the Wild West Extension District from Stevens County.
