On December 1, 2025, Haskell County Deputies conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle with only one functional taillight traveling westbound on U.S. Highway 56 near Road 190 in Satanta. The driver, identified as Audric Roland, agreed to perform a Standardized Field Sobriety Test and Preliminary Breath Test. While administering each test, deputies observed suspected drug paraphernalia inside of the vehicle and obtained consent from Roland to conduct a vehicle search. After further investigation, deputies found what they suspected to be marijuana inside of the vehicle. Roland was subsequently booked into the Haskell County Jail for possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, failure to produce a driver’s license upon demand, and suspected DUI.
