Tornado Causes Damage to Ochiltree General Hospital

A little over nine months after a tornado ripped through Perryton, another tornado has caused damage in that area.  The National Weather Service has confirmed a tornado touched down Sunday afternoon near Perryton.

The National Weather Service says there is damage to the roof of the Ochiltree General Hospital.  The hospital is just to the south of town. The NWS also says there is damage to a barn

and a center pivot was knocked over.

The Hospital says the ER and clinic were unaffected and all patients were safe and accounted for.

Officials are asking the public to leave the main road open and to not drive by to see damage, so the hospital is easily accessible for patients.
