Tired Driver Involved in Beaver County Accident

A sleepy driver is injured in a one vehicle accident.

The accident occured on Friday evening  at approximately 7:30pm  on US270, pproximately 2 ½ miles west of Slapout, OK in Beaver County.

A 2005 Chevy Tahoe driven by Abraham Smith, 39, of Tulsa, Oklahoma,was eastbound on US270 when he departed the roadway to the right into the south ditch. The Tahoe struck a steel fence post coming to rest in the fenceline.

Smith was transported by Beaver County EMS to Beaver Memorial Hospital in Beaver, OK. and was admitted in stable condition with trunk internal injury. According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the condition of the driver was sleepy.
