Liberal High School senior centerfielder Tim Fitzgerald is Mead Lumber Athlete of the Week. Fitzgerald is Liberal’s leading hitter at .553 (21-38) with a home run, two triples, one double, 14 RBI’s, 18 runs, and only two strikeouts in 10 games. Fitzgerald is also considered one of the top center fielders around. He was the point guard on the Redskin basketball team. He and the 6-4 Redskins host #17 class 3A Alva, Oklahoma Thursday at 4.
