Threat at Liberal High School Investigated

At approximately 11:15 AM Friday, LHS administration received a report of a potential threat at the RISE building, located south of the main campus. Law enforcement was notified immediately and responded quickly to search the building. Meanwhile, the LHS main, east, and annex campuses were put in a hold in place mode to ensure no student left any of the buildings. After a thorough investigation, it was confirmed that there was no threat to students. Please know that LHS and local law enforcement will always prioritize student safety and act with an abundance of caution whenever a report of a potential threat is made.
