Area food pantries across the Oklahoma Panhandle and Southwest Kansas received a welcome boost this holiday season thanks to the generosity of TCEC employees and board members. Each year, employees select local food pantries to support through voluntary payroll deductions and one-time donations.
In addition to employee giving, the TCEC board of directors also made their own contribution, further expanding the cooperative’s impact. This year’s contributions totaled more than $7,400, providing important resources to eight food pantries that serve families facing food insecurity.
These donations help stock pantry shelves during one of the most critical times of the year, supporting children, seniors, and families across the region.
The following food pantries received funds.
Beaver County, Oklahoma
- Beaver Ministerial Alliance, Beaver
- Families Helping Families, Beaver
- Turpin Community Food Pantry, Turpin
Cimarron County, Oklahoma
- Cimarron County Food Pantry, Boise City
Morton County, Kansas
- Hands For Hope, Elkhart
Texas County, Oklahoma
- Hooker Fights Hunger, Hooker
- Loaves and Fishes, Guymon
- Texhoma Ministerial Alliance, Texhoma
As a cooperative, TCEC is committed to supporting the communities it serves. Employees live, work, and raise their families here — and giving back is one of the many ways they demonstrate the cooperative difference. To learn more about TCEC’s community involvement, visit www.tcec.coop.
