SWMC Auxiliary Celebrates Service to Community

Southwest Medical Center Auxiliary volunteers recognized 51 volunteers for more than 100,000 combined hours of service to the hospital and Liberal community during an awards ceremony Thursday morning at Southwest Medical Center.

Award recipients were as follows: 50 hours – Mary Amerin, Katie Berg, Norma Handy, Marian McCaulley, Connie Posl; 100 hours – Judy Chance, Sheila Kilgore, Pat Morlen; 200 hours – Aleta Arnold, Shona Blakely, Bonnie Creamer, Donald Devinney, Linda McCullough, Hobba Masoner, Connie Richmeier; 300 hours – Shawne Padilla, Judy Shelman; 400 hours – Vera Browne, Lila Hagaman, Karen Lehnert, Stan Lehnert; 600 hours – Cheryl Carson, Barbara Hanson, Bob Oblander, Susan Zielke; 700 hours – Jane Devinney, Eula Kittle, Juneil McQueen; 800 hours – Cathy Corn, Sue Farmer; 1,100 hours – Velma Colter, Mickey Durbin, Barbara Perkins; 1,400 hours – Marilyn Thompson; 1,600 hours – Alice Hill; 1,700 hours – Mary Downs; 1,800 hours – Ann Kilgore, Avanell Mitchell; 2,000 hours – Donna Brinkley, Jonice Oblander; 2,300 hours – Mary Ellen Tweed; 2,400 hours – Connie McPhail; 2,500 hours – Janice Kilgore; 2,700 hours – Linda Staiger; 3,400 hours – Jane Nix, 3,500 hours – Aneta Compton; 3,600 hours – Sharon Garcia; 3,700 hours – Saundra Koochel; 6,400 hours – Jana Widener; 22,500 hours – Marylin Headrick; and “Too Many to Count” – Kay Hay.

The Southwest Medical Center Auxiliary welcomes volunteers of all ages to become involved in serving Southwest Medical Center. The annual membership fee for the Auxiliary is $5, which is applied towards medical scholarships.
