St. James Blanks Redskins in Atchison

Liberal traveled Friday to eastern Kansas but mustered two hits and five errors in a 6-0 loss to St. James Academy.  The game was played on a neutral field at Benedictine College at Atchison.  St. James scored three in the second, one in the third, and two in the fourth.  The Thunder out-hit the Redskins 6-2.  Braxton Hyde took the loss falling to 5-2 going 3 and 2/3 innings and allowing six runs but only two were earned.  Ulises Rivera pitched 1/3 scoreless and Pancho Terrazas went two scoreless innings on the mound.  Liberal is 10-7 and St. James Academy is 8-8.  Liberal plays at 9 Saturday morning vs. Kansas City Christian and at 11 vs. St. Thomas Aquinas.
