Skins Hope Monday not Sign of Things to Come

LHS head golf coach Kody Thexton said Monday night his team will have to play better if anyone is going to qualify for state. Liberal’s golf team competed at Smoky Hills Golf Course in Hays Monday at the site of the regional golf tournament next month. Liberal finished eighth out of 11 teams with a 382. Hays won their tournament with a 316. Alex Colvin led Liberal with a 93 while Zane Ralston shot a 95. Lucas Poulton and Blake Romero shot 97’s. Goodland’s George Bellani won the tournament with a 73. Hays’ Nick Von Lintel shot a 74 while teammate Trey Herman carded a 76. Liberal goes to Dodge City Thursday.
