Seward’s Geesing Enjoys Oz-Some Week

After yet another strong week, this time at the Ozfest
Invitational in which she helped her team to a second place finish,
Seward County sophomore outside hitter Courtney Geesing has been tabbed
the Jayhawk West Conference Player of the Week. She averaged 3.47 kills
and 2.35 digs per game on the week. In a conference win over Dodge
City, the sophomore outside hitter hammered home a career high 20 kills
and followed that up later in the day with a 12 kills, 11 dig
double-double against Vernon. Saturday against 17-8 Frank Phillips she
had 9 kills and a career high 17 digs in a Seward win. In her final
match of the week, Geesing posted 10 kills against the #1 team in the
country Western Nebraska.
