Seward County Firefighters Extinguish Vegetation Fire

At 4:11 pm on Sunday February 16, 2020 the Seward County Fire Department was dispatched to a vegatation fire in the 4000 block of Road 3, West of Liberal. Units arrived on scene to find 2 acres of natural vegetation burning at slow rate of spread. No damages or injuries were reported. The cause of the fire was illegal burning of trash/debris on open ground. The department responded with 2 Chief Officers, 10 Firefighters, and 5 apparatus.
