Seward County Commissioners Meet, Approve Travelers Insurance For The County

The Seward County Commission met Monday evening for their final meeting of 2016. Among the items on the agenda, Commissioners approved Travelers Insurance for coverage for Seward County through Al Shank Insurance. This item was tabled at the last meeting pending further information.

County Commissioners also approved Prevention and Graduated Sanctions Grants for JCAPS, approved s Cereal Malt Beverage license for Yucca Ridge Golf Course, and rescheduled the first meeting of 2017 to Tuesday January the 3rd.

The Landfill was before the Commission with a purchase request for a loader. Commissioners approved the bid from Foley with an extended warranty in the amount of $128,388.00.

Several Board appointments were also made at Monday’s meeting. Mary Lloyd and Bob Thorton were appointed to the Council on Aging Board, Tammy Sutherland Abbott to the JEDC Board, and Kevin Alexander, John Lee, Greg Freelove, Bill Hatcher, Rod Lewis, and Rustin Wettstein all to the Rural Fire Board.

 

The Commission tabled the C&C Group-Direct Digital Control System Provider to a future meeting.

After 3 Executive Sessions, no action was taken as a result of the Executive Sessions.
