Seward County Commission to Meet, Consider Joint Tower Project

The Seward County Commission will meet Monday evening and will be asked to consider to approve and proceed in cooperation with the City of Liberal with the new radio system. This project replaces all existing emergency radio equipment from the dispatch center to the tower and includes new radios for all emergency vehicles as well as handheld radios.
The City and County have worked together to bring this project together in the most cost effective means possible. This new system will allow for an effective and interoperable radio system for the community, into the future.

The City of Liberal has already taken action and approved their parts of the agreement, County approval will allow receipt of the $410,545.00 discount for accepting the contract by December 4, 2019.
