Seward County Commission Meets, Awards Employee Scholarships

Seward County Commissioners met Monday evening for their regular meeting.

Commissioners awarded 2 $400 Employee Scholarships to graduates of Seward County Employees. Winning the scholarships this year was Alandra Rios and Sterling Race Warden.  The scholarships are payable to the colleges of choice for the two individuals.

The Commission also approved the waiver of fees for the Rodeo Arena for Crossroads for their Little Britches Rodeo that will be held on June 24th and 24th.

Also approved at Monday’s meeting was the contract renewal with McCully and Assoc. for the Appraisers Department, Grant approval and policy updates for JCAPS, and a Resolution and Financing of Building Projects.

The County Commission also approved Resolution 2017-09 with is a Declaration of Disaster for Seward County, and appointed Marty Bauer to the JEDC Board.
