Seward County Commission Meets, Approves Wage Increases

The Seward County Commission met on Tuesday evening and approved the facility Fee Waiver request for the Seward County Activity Center from the Liberal Cultural Festival Committee to hold the Cultural Festival in 2023. The Date is set for October 14, 2023.
Commissioners gave the go ahead to migrate from the AS/400 system to a windows based solution. Contracts will be drawn up, for final approval. The financial impact would be $322,212.66 for which the County would use ARPA Funding.
Equity Bank, Sunflower Bank, Bank of Beaver City, and Community Bank were all designated the Bank Depositories for 2023 for Seward County, and approved were the 2022 Fixed Assets as presented by the County Clerk’s Office.
Commissioners also approved the 3% wage adjustment as proposed in the July Budget Work Sessions for all employees.
