Seward County Commission Declares Local Disaster

The Seward County Commission met Monday evening at 5:30 pm and approved signatory approval for the submission of the budget document to the Kansas Department of Corrections. Commissioners heard from Neal Coffey who provided the Commissioners with an update on the Comprehensive Plan and approved a Lease/Purchase for a roll-off truck with the Bank of Beaver at 5.25% for 60 months.

Approved for the County Attorney’s Office is the Karpal Contract for Software at a cost of $91,100 to be split in half with County Technology paying $45,550 and Diversion paying $45,550. The Commission also authorized IMA to order the contract from BCBS for the County’s Annual Insurance Renewal and for the County Administrator to sign upon receipt of the contract.

Commissioners also adopted Resolution 2023-06 and Proclaimed a State of Local Disaster Emergency for Seward County, Kansas.
