Seward County Board of County Commissioners Approve Board Appointments

The Seward County Board of County Commissioners met Monday Evening at 5:30 pm. After hearing an update from Kirkham Michael, the Board appointed Cherie Rash and Danny Medeiros to the Council on Aging Board to fill existing unexpired terms.

The Board then Appointed Stacy Cope, Joe Denoyer, and Dennis Sander to serve on the Southwest Medical Center Board of Trustees with Sander getting the 3 year term and Denoyer and Cope getting the 2 year terms.

Next, the Commission heard an Update on the Tax Sale-Recovery from County Treasurer Mary Rose. The Board approve the annual renewal of the ClearCo (ClearCompany) Workforce Platform in the amount of $36,000.00. Seward County currently utilizes ClearCompany as its primary Talent Management System.

Also approved was the replacement of outdated body-worn cameras, in-car cameras, and digital evidence storage system for the Sheriff’s Department. The Board accepted the additional Family Planning Grant funds on behalf of the Health Department. These funds must be expended by March 31, 2026.

Approved by the Board was the annual renewal of health and dental insurance plans for Seward County employees for the 2026 – 2027 plan year.
