The Oklahoma Mechanical Examiners Committee has approved the Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration program curriculum at Seward County Community College/Area Technical School. To be a journeyman in Oklahoma, an individual must complete three years of HVAC apprenticeship experience, and successfully pass an appropriate HVAC Journeyman-level exam.

SCCC/ATS is now offering testing for the HVAC North American Technician Excellence (NATE) and Industry Competency (ICE) exams.
