SCCC/ATS Gives Area High School Students Something to Think About

A number of area high schools have signed articulation agreements with
Seward County Community College/Area Technical School. This allows students
who begin at SCCC/ATS as a college freshman to get college credit for
courses taken in high school. Articulation agreements have been signed with
Hugoton, Stanton County, Southwest Plains Education Service Center, Ashland,
Rolla, Meade, Cimarron, Ulysses and Liberal. Depending on what the student
can take at his or her high school, credit is available for the
Manufacturing cluster, including Machine Tool Technology, Welding
Technology, Drafting and Design Technology; the Construction cluster; the
transportation cluster, including Automotive Business Management, Auto
Mechanics, Auto Body Collision Repair and Diesel Technology; Business
Administrative Technology, Business and health occupations. The college has
articulation agreements with Liberal and Ulysses. (Andrea Yoxall)
