SCCC/ATS Auction Raises $60,000

KSCB News - October 1, 2014 8:13 am

The SCCC/ATS Foundation’s 20th Annual Party Auction was held Sat., September 20, with a crowd of over 400 guests bidding on a wide variety of items to raise funds in support of Seward County Community College/Area Technical School. The “Fun & Games” theme for the evening gave guests a chance to stage a selfie in the “Clue” photo area complete with props like a candlestick, rope, and knife. The giant “Jenga” game was a popular activity that was later sold during the live auction. New this year was the “Fund a Classroom” donation opportunity that led off the live auction. Guests made donations starting at $1,000 to raise a total of $5,600 to purchase new desks and chairs for a classroom in the Humanities Building. The event raised over $60,000 in donations, ticket sales, and auction sales. Thank you to all of our donors, bidders, and volunteers!!
