Saints Volleyball in Giving Spirit of Christmas Already

KSCB News - September 1, 2010 12:00 am

The giving spirit of Christmas will be evident all volleyball season

in the Green House. The KJCCC teams are choosing a date to

take donations for Toys For Tots. But SCCC/ATS Sports Information

Director Roy Allen says Seward is taking things a step further.

“It’s kind of a conference wide charity event. Most of the schools

are just doing it one game,” Allen said. “We’re deciding to do it

throughout the whole year. Our admission if free to every single

game so you can come out and bring the family and normally it

would cost you 10-15 bucks to go to a volleyball match. You can

swing by the store and grab a couple dollar toy and throw it in the

bucket and some kids who are less fortunate will have a toy at

Christmas.”

Coach Bert Lewallen and the 17th ranked Saints open their home

season Wednesday night at 6:30 against Pratt.
