Rolla Looks to Continue Resurgence

KSCB News - August 30, 2013 1:19 pm

The previous eight years before last season, the Rolla Pirates won four games. Last season the Pirates went 7-3 and went to the playoffs. Excitement is back to the tiny Morton County community which won state football titles in 1996 and 1973. Jon Schnable watched Rolla go 0-9 as an assistant in 2011 before last season’s breakthrough.

Key Pirates include Sr. TB/LB Kyle Telford who rushed for 1,579 yards last season, Sr. QB/DE Jaron Rush, Jr. TE/LB Obie Telford, and Jr. FB/LB Jordan Schwindt,

The Pirates were featured during the Friday morning Sportsguys.
