Redskins Blank Hays for Sixth Straight Win

Liberal’s soccer team has won six in a row after a 4-0 win at Hays Thursday afternoon in Hays.  There was no JV  game so the game was played a 4 pm on a hot day in Hays.

The Skins scored with 15 minutes left in the half on a goal by Angel Munoz and an assist crossed by Yahir Salazar.  LHS led 1-0 at the half.  The Redskins started strongly with a goal in the 35th minute of the second half  as  Erich Ortiz scored thanks to a  cross by Yahir Salazar.  LHS scored a minute later as A.J. Ramirez scored and Erich Ortiz crossed to him for the assist.  Liberal scored again with about 5 minutes left on a header pass by Angel Munoz to Erich Ortiz for the goal.

Liberal is 7-2 overall and 4-2 in the WAC.  Liberal has next week off.  Liberal hosts Great Bend October 19.
