Redskin Golf Shows Improvement in Hutchinson

Brock Kappelmann - April 26, 2019 9:20 pm

The Liberal Boys Golf team competed in a field of 36 teams and 167 golfers at the Hutchinson Invitational Friday. While no medals were claimed by the Redskins, senior Kyle Wagenseller continued to improve his score by dropping four strokes from his previous low, and freshman Carson Gilmore posted a round five strokes lower than his previous best, so we are moving in the right direction. The tournament was won by Blue Valley North followed by Shawnee Mission East and Topeka-Washburn Rural. Individually, the tournament champion was Will Harding of Shawnee Mission East with a three under par 68. The Redskins continue play on Monday at Stoneridge Golf Course in Great Bend.
