Redskin Defense Stifles Perryton

KSCB News - December 20, 2014 7:29 am

This was a Hayden Coker kind of night. His help defense, rebounding, and offense on the blocks were too much for an undersized Perryton team Friday night in the Big House. Liberal improved to 4-1 for the first time in five years with a 53-36 win over the Rangers. The win breaks a three game losing skid against Perryton. Hayden Coker led the Skins with 14 points and eight rebounds. Deladris Green scored 12 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. Kylan Thomas added 10 and was six of six at the foul line.

The Redskins led early 10-3 and 20-10 before leading 25-12, 28-15, and 30-15 at the half. LHS led by as many as 20 (43-23) before leading 43-26 after three. The Redskins shot 50 percent from the field. Liberal is 4-1 for the first time since the 2009-10 season when they began the season 5-1. Perryton is 3-9. Liberal plays at Perryton January 6 on 1270 and kscbnews.net.
