Police Arrest Suspect Tuesday Morning

On Tuesday morning at approximately 6:48 am, Liberal Police Officers responded to the area of 1100 W. 15th street, regarding a suspicious female suspect knocking on doors and walking barefoot.

During the investigation, the suspect ran away from the officer. Officers located the suspect in the 1400 block of North Cain with a wooden weapon. Officers drew their handguns and instructed the suspect to drop the weapon. The suspect dropped the weapon and Officers were able to place her in handcuffs and take her into custody. EMS was called to the scene and transported the suspect to Southwest Medical Center for evaluation.
