KSCB News - April 17, 2013 4:06 pm

Thanks to a resolution recently passed by the United States Senate, April 18, 2013, has been declared National Lineman Appreciation Day.
U.S. Senate Resolution 95 was introduced by Senators Johnny Isakson of Georgia and Michael Bennet of Colorado to honor all electric linemen for the services they perform around the clock in dangerous conditions to keep the power on and protect the public’s safety.
“Electric linemen do not often get the recognition they deserve,” said Steve Epperson CEO, . “They work all hours of the day, often in hazardous conditions far from their families, doing all they can to restore power to the communities. Our lineman, as well as linemen from all across the nation, richly deserve this special recognition.”
