Pancake Chase Race Set For Saturday

For those who want to get a headstart on Pancake Day racing, the Liberal Parks and Recreation Department is hosting two fun runs Saturday morning. Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. at the Seward County Event Center, 1040 Stadium Drive. A 5K Race will start at 8 a.m., followed by a One-Mile Walk/Run Prediction Race at 9 a.m. Those entering the Prediction event predict their finish times, and the winner is the person whose actual finish time is closest to the prediction.
A $5 entry fee will go to fund LRPD Youth Scholarship programs. T-shirts will be for sale for $15. Advance registration is encouraged. For more information call the Recreation Office at 620-626-0133 during business hours: 8 a.m.-5 p.m. weekdays.
