Packing Plant Worker Stabbed In The Neck, Dies

A Tyson Meats worker is dead after being stabbed in the neck while on the job Tuesday.

Deputies were dispatched to the plant in the 3100 block of N. IBP Rd. to a report of an industrial accident. Upon arrival, they found Cesar Muniz, of Garden City, suffering a wound to his neck. He was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Witnesses told officials Muniz and a 34-year-old co-worker were working in the same area when they bumped heads. It was then that Mr. Muniz was stabbed in the neck by the coworker who had a work knife in his hand.
