Authorities are now releasing details of that Monday crash just north of Liberal.  The Kansas Highway Patrol reports two vehicles were headed south on 83 Monday afternoon at 2:10 on mile marker 6.7.  A semi was slowing to make a left turn onto Seward County Road 7 from 83.  However, 24 year old Robert Palomino of Garden City failed to slow down in the pick up he was driving.  He pick up slammed into the passenger side of the semi and traveled north into the 5th axle.  The semi went into the ditch coming to rest partially on Salley Road.  Palomino was injured and taken to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.  The truck driver was not injured.  Traffic was reduced to one lane Monday during clean up of this wreck.
