Oklahoma Remains In Drought Condition

The latest report from the U.S. Drought
Monitor shows about 42 percent of Oklahoma remains in exceptional
drought – the most severe category.
The monitor released Thursday shows exceptional drought
stretching from Osage County westward across the Oklahoma Panhandle
and in much of the southwestern corner of the state.
Extreme drought is reported in about 43 percent of the state and
severe drought in more than 4 percent of the remaining sections of
Oklahoma.
The National Weather Service’s short term forecast calls for
partly cloudy to sunny skies with afternoon highs in the 80s and
90s statewide through Saturday.
