KSCB News - April 27, 2015 11:18 am

On Saturday May 9thth, Meade State Park will be hosting our annual OK Kids Day event. No park pass is required on May 9th. Thanks to all of our sponsors, we will be having many outdoor activities for everyone to participate in. To encourage participation, everyone 8 and older must complete activities on the provided punch card they will receive at registration. Those that complete the activities will have the choice of either a sleeping bag, fishing rod/reel combo or a tackle box. There are limited fishing rod/reel combos. Due to the age restrictions of some activities, ages 7 and younger are automatically eligible for a prize. Everyone must register. We will be doing registration all day and into the evening on Friday at the Park Office?and registration will begin at 8:00am on Saturday morning. Events will begin at 9:00am and go until about 3:00pm.?Hamburgers, Elk burgers or hotdogs will?be served for the free lunch. We are always in need of assistance, so if you are interested in volunteering or for more information, please call the Park Office at 620-873-2572. Hope to see everyone come out and enjoy the day with us.
