Shannon R. Conway, age 68 passed away Monday morning, July 4, 2022, at Locust Grove Villages, LaCrosse, Kansas.

She was born on December 4, 1953 in Meade, Kansas, the daughter of Ted and Earline Turney. As a young girl attended school in Meade. Shannon was a homemaker for awhile before she worked at the Meade District hospital, drug store, Sears and then retired from CMS Electric.

Shannon was a member of the Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed swimming, running, biking, and weight lifting. One of her greatest achievements was participating in the Salty Dog Triathlons. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and a love for dogs. Shannon never missed any of Shane’s or Derek’s sporting events.

In 1972, she married Robert (Jim) Conway at Beaver, Oklahoma.

Other survivors include two sons, Shane Bond and wife Miranda of Lacrosse, Kansas; Derek Conway and wife Crystal of Henderson, Nevada; two sisters, Nancy Levalley and husband Bill from Traverse City, Michigan, Sherry Vanburen and husband Dub of Kansas City, Missouri, brother Ted Turney and wife Carole of Las Vegas, Nevada; and eight grandchildren and one great grandchild Hunter, Justin, Nathan, Austin, Brayden, Carson, Nevaeh, Skyla and baby Bond.

She is preceded in death by her husband Jim on January 8, 2022; her parents; a sister, Myrna Becker; two brothers, Kenneth and Terry Covert.

The family would welcome memorials to the Church of the Nazarene in care of the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July12, 2022, at the Church of the Nazarene, Meade. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. with the family present from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Monday at Fidler-Orme-Bachman Mortuary, Meade. Interment will follow in the Graceland Cemetery, Meade.
