Sandra L. Jordan

Sandra L. Jordan, 59, died Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at The Shepherd’s Center, Cimarron.

She was born May 19, 1964 in Dodge City, the daughter of Gerald Eugene and Lois Mae (Pribbeno) Kerr. She was a 1982 graduate of Cimarron High School and in 2014 she received her Masters of Science from Fort Hays State University. She worked at Walmart for over 20 years while pursuing her degree. She was a substitute teacher in many area schools during that time as well. After achieving her dream, she taught school in Larned, Pratt, Wallace County, Sublette and Liberal.

She was a member of the Cimarron Methodist Church.

Survivors include: her sister, Susan Mahurin, Dodge City; sister-in-law, Helen Kerr, Cimarron; nieces and nephews, Jennifer Hill, Garden City, Jason Kerr and wife Ashley, Derby, Kansas, Amanda Kolb and husband Shawn, Liberal and Megan Ross, Wichita; 13 great nieces and nephews and 3 great great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Steve Kerr and infant child, baby Jordan.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Friday, May 3, 2024 at the Cimarron Methodist Church with Pastor Kevin D. Reed officiating. Burial will follow in the Cimarron Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, May 2, 2024 from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm with the family present from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Ziegler Funeral Chapel, Cimarron.
