North Holds Off LHS

The Wichita North Redskins are a soccer school.  Four hours away from their campus that was apparent this weekend at the Gary Cornelsen Sports Complex in Liberal.  After Liberal’s football win Friday night over an 0-4 North team 56-14, the soccer teams played a very competitive game Saturday afternoon.  North scored one goal in the first half at the 19 minute mark and another at the 33:10 mark of the second half.  LHS played much of the second half short handed after a red card on a player.  Liberal is 4-4 with two of the losses coming against North while North is 5-2-1.  LHS hosts Hays Thursday at about 2:30 at Redskin Field.
