Newspaper Names Dunn Citizen of the Year

After four years in Liberal, Seward County Community College/Area Technical School president Duane Dunn is the High Plains Daily Leader Citizen of the Year. Dunn was instrumental in the merger between SCCC and Southwest Technical School. Past Citizen of the Year recipients voted Dunn the award winner. The Daily Leader hosted a reception Friday evening at the Rock Island Depot. Dunn is also a member of the Liberal Chamber of Commerce board, the Joint Economical Development Council, Rotary, and Big Brother/Big Sisters. The Daily Leader recognized Don Rash for the Lifetime Achievement award. The Hometown Heroes awards went to Pat Allsbury, Howard Dunn, Chris Perkins, Gary Riffe, Anita Sarabia, and Diane Tillson.
