LIBERAL, KS — The International Pancake Day Board of Directors is thrilled to announce a high-octane addition to this year’s festivities. Nationally acclaimed speed painter Annika Wooton will perform live at the annual Pancake Day Breakfast, bringing a unique fusion of high-energy performance art and local tradition to the stage.
Known for her “upside-down” painting technique and dramatic reveals, Wooton is a Kansas native who has captivated audiences across the country. Her portfolio includes performances for the WNBA, NCAA, and major corporate clients. Now, she brings her signature style to Liberal to celebrate the world-famous tradition of Pancake Day.
A Masterpiece in Minutes
During a 5-to-7-minute “explosive” performance, Wooton will transform a blank canvas into a spectacular, pancake-themed masterpiece right before the eyes of breakfast attendees. The subject of this year’s live performance will be a portrait of an International Pancake Day Racer, honoring the athletes who define the historic cross-continental competition between Liberal, Kansas, and Olney, England.
“We wanted to bring a ‘wow’ factor to the breakfast that celebrates our history in a completely modern way,” said the event organizers. “Annika’s ability to blend precision artistry with live entertainment creates an unforgettable experience that will resonate with guests of all ages.”
Pancake Day is the heartbeat of our community—a time when we honor our history, celebrate our unique bond with our friends in Olney, and create new memories within our community.
