Motorcycle Crash Fatal for Meade Teen

A crash involving a motorcycle claimed the life of a Meade teen Monday evening in rural Meade County.  The Kansas Highway Patrol reports that at 5:18 Monday evening, 15 year old Michael Lowry of Meade was driving a 1998 Kawasaki KX125.  He was headed north on K road .9 miles east of Highway 54 on K Road.  Lowry drove the motorcycle north coming out of a field while a 2002 Dodge Ram was headed west and struck the Kawasaki.  Lowry was taken to Meade District Hospital but his injuries were fatal.  He was pronounced dead at 6:40 Monday evening.  He was not wearing a helmet.
