Moscow Standout is a Face in the Crowd

KSCB News - June 29, 2009 12:00 am

The kid who put up dizzying numbers for Moscow High School gets his due. Jace Moore, who signed to play baseball at Seward County will be featured in this week’s “Faces in the Crowd” in Sports Illustrated. Moore hit .522 with five homers and 33 RBI’s. He had seven doubles and two triples for 25-1 Moscow. But it was on the mound that Moore was even more remarkable. Moore was 9-0 with a save, a .29 ERA, 80 strikeouts and just seven walks. Moore played for his father Stu at MHS helping lead the team to state the past three years. The Wildcats were the state runner-up this year. Moore was also the state powerlifting champion at 181 pounds. Moore is playing for the Liberal Bulldogs this summer. He will be a guest on the Sportsguys Tuesday morning between 7:37 and 9:00 on Talkradio 1270 and kscb.net.
