Moncayo Nets Five Goals in Win at Great Bend

The Liberal soccer team won their next to last regular season game Tuesday night at Great Bend.  The Redskins won 7-0.  Suain Moncayo scored five goals in the win.  He scored on a penalty kick for the first goal.  George Tejeda assisted Moncayo for the second goal.  Aron Duque hooked up Moncayo for the third goal with 9:30 remaining in the first half.   Suain Moncayo made it 4-0 off a rebound from his own shot with four minutes remaining in the half.  It was 4-0 at the half.  Gio Reyes assisted Moncayo for the fifth goal with 25 minutes remaining.  Alan Baeza scored a goal off a rebound with 12 minutes left.  Giezi Gonzalez scored with an assist from Aron Duque.  The Panthers fall to 2-12-1 and 0-8 in the WAC.  Liberal is 8-4-3 overall and 3-2-2 in the WAC.  Liberal hosts Dodge City for Senior Night Thursday night at the Gary Cornelsen Sports Complex.  Senior recognition comes before the varsity game at about 6:15.
