Monarrez Leads Liberal in Pratt

Liberal’s wrestling team competed in their first tournament of the season Saturday in Pratt. The Redskins placed fourth. Victor Monarrez won first at 195 while Chris Bowman was second at 170 and Greg McClurg at 138 and Emanuel Peralta at 132 both placed third. Andale, Augusta, Buhler, Chaparral, Goddard Eisenhower, Hoisington, Holcomb, Larned, Nickerson, Pratt, Ulysses, and Wichita Northwest all competed in this tournament. The Redskins travel to Colby for a tournament Friday and Saturday.
