McDermott Elementary Teacher Honored

Janine Putnam, 2nd grade teacher at McDermott Elementary School,was recognized at a recent USD 480 board meeting. Janine was nominated to receive the 2014 Kansas Cable Telecommunications Horizon Award. The award is sponsored by the Kansas State Department of Education and the Kansas Cable Telcommunications Association and identifies and recognizes representatives of excellent teaching in the elementary and secondary classrooms of the state. The mission of the program is……..to recognize exemplary first-year teachers who perform in a way that distinguishes them as outstanding.
