BEAVER COUNTY, Okla. (KFDA) – A man charged with the murder of a missing 16-year-old girl found dead near Forgan, Oklahoma has pleaded not guilty.
According to Beaver County court records, Brayden Brown entered a not guilty plea following a preliminary hearing earlier this month.
Brown is charged with second-degree murder or the alternative of manslaughter in the first-degree murder of 16-year-old London Valdez.
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation discovered Valdez was with Brown a few days before her death.
Officials say he was under the influence of alcohol and methamphetamine at the time when his vehicle became stuck in the dirt just north of where she was found dead.
OSBI says this was the last time she was seen alive.
A jury trial will be held fall of this year.
