Magali Vazquez is Mead Lumber Athlete of the Week

Liberal senior goalkeeper Magali Vazquez is the Mead Lumber Athlete of the Week. She has five saves in Liberal’s opening win at Guymon on Tuesday. She denied to Guymon penalty kicks as LHS won 4-3 on PK’s after a 1-1 tie at the end of regulation. Magali is also a member of That Liberal Band and was also a starter on last year’s soccer team. She and the Redskins face Campus at 4 on Monday to begin the Wichita South Titan Classic.
