This summer, students can discover exciting science, technology, engineering and math careers with local cooperatives Tri-County Electric Cooperative (TCEC) and Panhandle Telephone Cooperative, Inc. (PTCI).

The full-day camp on June 22, 2023, offers hands-on activities and real-world experiences for attendees at both cooperative campuses. Campers attend a half day at PTCI in Guymon and the second half at TCEC in Hooker. Campers receive free lunch and transportation between PTCI and TCEC.

“We’re excited to co-host Future Innovators – Co-op STEM camp for area students. It’s a terrific opportunity to present local career opportunities to our region’s next generation,” says Jana Wallace, PTCI CEO.

Zac Perkins, TCEC CEO, expresses, “The principles of STEM education are essential to teaching children. Today, more than ever, we must encourage our kids to pursue STEM-related careers in their communities.”

Registration for Future Innovators is open for students ages 13-15 living in the PTCI or TCEC service areas. There is no participation cost, but the camp only has 20 spots available. For more information and to register, visit www.care.coop.
