Liberal Sweeps Competition in Garden City

What a difference 48 hours makes for Liberal’s volleyball team. After a heart breaking loss at Southwestern Heights on Tuesday, Liberal beat Great Bend, Holcomb, and Garden City at the Garden on Thursday. LHS beat a Great Bend team they never beat last year (23-25, 25-22, 25-21). LHS topped Holcomb (25-21 and 25-22). The Skins spiked Garden City (16-25, 26-24, 25-21). Katie Burnett led the way during the three matches with 35 kills, four assists, and four blocks. Ashlyn Westerman dished 38 assists, with 21 kills, and three assists. Caitlin Bauer had 14 kills and 33 assists. Destiny Hall had 20 kills, six blocks, and three assists. Emily Bayouth added eight kills and five blocks. The 3-1 Lady Skins travel to Nocona, Texas September 10th through the 12th.
