In a tournament which started at 8:30 a.m. and ended after 7 p.m. the LHS volleyball team put it together in a crucial stretch of the season. The Redskins won their tournament going 6-0 Saturday to finish a one week stretch with a record of 14-2 and improve to 15-4 overall.

LHS beat Emporia in the championship (19-25, 25-18, 25-13) after a semifinal win over Dodge City (22-25, 25-10, 25-23). In pool play, LHS beat Wichita Southeast (25-12, 25-15), Scott City (25-14, 22-25, 25-13), Meade (25-15, 21-25, 25-23), and Hugoton (25-21, 25-18).

Jai Chapman was named to the all tournament team.

Liberal goes to Kingman Thursday.
